Privacy policy
How traxarmstrong.com collects, uses, and protects personal information.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Who is responsible
traxarmstrong.com is the personal website of Trax Armstrong, who is responsible for the personal information collected here. Questions about this policy go to contact+legal [at] traxarmstrong.com or through the contact page.
What is collected
- Contact form. Your name, email address, chosen topic, and message, with the time of sending and your IP address to prevent abuse.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you reached the site. It uses cookies to do this.
- Spam protection. The contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which sends information about your browser and interaction to Google to tell people from automated traffic.
- Server logs. The hosting server records IP addresses, requested pages, times, and browser details for security and operations.
- Display preference. Your light, dark, or system theme choice is kept in your own browser and is never sent to us.
How it is used
- To read and answer your message.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site and its form secure.
Personal information is not sold, and the contact form does not add you to any mailing list.
Who else receives it
Google receives analytics and reCAPTCHA data under its own terms; see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. The hosting provider processes server logs and delivers form messages by email. Nothing else is shared unless the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics sets cookies whose names begin with _ga. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works without them.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up on them. Analytics data follows the retention period set in Google Analytics. Server logs are rotated by the host.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and US state privacy laws, you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to its use. Write to contact+legal [at] traxarmstrong.com.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Never send passwords, keys, or other credentials through the contact form.
